Stop! Keep that window open!Always keep an interactions tab open. When you are doing your usual run around the web, keep your twitter interaction page open. People really respond well when you reply quick. If you don’t respond quickly, they might see your reply another day and not reply back. Since social media is all about communication, you need to communicate a lot and be good at it. If you are just posting and not talking to your followers or friends, chances are you won’t gain a mass following or friends list anytime soon.
Ways to interact with your fans and followers:
- Ask questions
- Reply to tweets
- Comment on status updates
- Ask opinions
- Tag photos
- Thank fans
Tip - Don’t shove social media
If the Twitter feed on your website is half the page, don’t expect anyone to stay there long. If your Facebook and Twitter symbols are as big as your logo... No one going to like you or follow you. If someone wants to like or follow you they will actually look for your social media icons.
